Do you think your old socks and tees were just for the garbage? Here are a few ideas to keep them out of the trash.

Here are just a few ideas for reusing socks that can mostly be reapplied for your old t-shirts as well. You can clean with them as is or cut them into rags and leave them under the sink for spills. Which saves on buying paper towels. You can make baby dolls clothes or baby doll diapers. Make reusable shopping bags. You can make sock puppets. You can make rag dolls. You can make pillows out of them. With some extra materials why not try to make a basketball net for your hamper, for fun. Cut the sock or t-shirt fabric into strips and make yarns balls out of them for crafts like potholders. Make them into Cat toys. Wrap kids shoes in to them to not dirty the luggage during travel. (I was taught to wrap my shoes needed in luggage with old plastic grocery bags to keep the luggage clean so I can see where they are going here, you can use either method, of course). You can use the material as a duster too. There are a few that I left out and probably a few more that I could list as well however, if you would like to get more ideas you can read the wonderful source article on reusing your socks at Associated Content
